Integration requirements
Controller model, program access, licences, network architecture, available signals and safety responsibilities must be confirmed. Protocol support is assessed against the actual equipment rather than assumed.
Existing equipment
Existing PLCs and HMIs can remain where they support the required interface. Changes are scoped to the data and operational outcome needed, with responsibility boundaries agreed before commissioning.
Deployment considerations
Testing should cover machine states, communication loss, restart behaviour, timestamps and data ownership. Local applications or gateways can be used where production networks cannot connect directly to hosted systems.
